Job Summary:
Supply Chain Manager (PSI) plays a critical role in optimizing inventory levels, ensuring smooth production flows, and coordinating logistics for timely product availability. This role requires a strategic mindset and strong cross-functional collaboration with demand planners, production, sales, procurement, and logistics team to balance supply and demand efficiently. The PSI manager is responsible for managing optimal inventory levels, working closely with the production team to ensure on time production, and coordinating with overseas logistics team to manage vessel space allocation, on time shipping, and on time delivery to meet customer expectations. This position will also require initiating and drive process improvements, identifying bottlenecks in the PSI process, and implementing solutions. The PSI manager will communicate opportunities, build consensus, and drive operational programs focused on innovation and growth. The role will ensure systems, processes, and resources are developed to improve our service levels for better customer experience.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the production team to align production schedules with sales forecast and inventory targets. Ensure on-time production by managing material availability, capacity constraints, and production lead times.
- Implement and refine inventory control policies to maintain optimal stock levels while preventing shortages. Conduct regular PSI reviews to balance production output with actual sales demand and inventory capacity.
- Act as the central point of coordination between sales, demand planners, production, and logistics to ensure seamless operations. Communicate regularly with leadership on PSI related risks, challenges, and strategic recommendations.
- Lead PSI meetings to ensure alignment across departments and drive data-driven decision making.
- Proactively monitor and analyze aged inventory to minimize excess stock and avoid obsolescence. Work closely with PMs and sales to develop and execute strategies for inventory reduction and promotional activities.
- Work closely with overseas logistics team to ensure efficient vessel space management and minimize shipping delays. Monitor and track on time shipping performance, ensuring on time delivery for both Domestic inventory and direct deliveries to customers.
- Closely monitor and manage Lead Time (Production, Factory to Vessel, Port to Destination, etc.,) ensuring that production schedule is aligned with lead time changes to meet customer MABD.
- Identify and address bottlenecks in production that impact inventory flow and customer order fulfillment. Work with logistics team to develop contingency plans to address unforeseen shipping disruptions and supply chain bottlenecks.
- Participate in S&OP meeting to align monthly forecast through reviewing CPFR and aligning on decisions across Finance, PM, and Sales.
- Assessing current supply chain and identifying opportunities for improvements. Proposing potential projects and lead implementing system/process changes to better serve customers while meeting organizational needs.
- Closely monitor and manage Lead Time (Production, Factory to Vessel, Port to Destination, etc.,) ensuring that production schedule is aligned with lead time changes to meet customer MABD.
- Develop, monitor, and analyze supply chain metrics to manage inventory levels, cost, and on time delivery.
- Ability to prioritize departmental activities and set effective (SMART) goals and objectives in line with overall corporate strategy.
- Recruit, train, and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence. Manages employees, guiding technically, evaluating performance and furthering the ability of the team, to establish the best organizational climate.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders, negotiating favorable terms to support operational objectives.
- Lead Innovative initiative to seek alternative system/processes and new market best practices to better manage overall supply chain to stay competitive in the market.
- Other Duties as Assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Knowledge of industry’s legal rules and guidelines, In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance, customer service etc.) Leadership Skills, Organizational Skills, Microsoft Office, Oracle.
- Problem solver who can solve complex problems, seeks opportunities to find ways to be more efficient in each process. Identify gaps, drive to overcome obstacles and solve problems. Great communicator who can interpret complex situations and able to communicate to different levels of organization to get a buy-in and develop consensus.
- Able to manage multiple projects with tight timelines and deliver results. Understand priorities and able to influence/engage with diverse team of professionals to drive change.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, industrial engineering, or related field.
- 5 years of Supply Chain Management Experience – PSI, Production Planning, Demand Planning, Supply Chain Management.
- Advanced proficiency in supply chain software and platforms, including ERP systems and demand forecasting tools.
- APICS Certification
- 6 Sigma Green or Black Belt
- Managed large/complex supply chain projects with project management experience with global partners.
- High level of understanding of WMS, YMS, TMS
- Strong data analytical skills, high level skills in MS Excel.
- Strong collaborative problem-solver, effective communicator, strong presentational skills.
- Ability to forecast, analyze and prepare statistical data and metrics
- Ability to handle/mine data from multiple sources to create vital reports and databases
- Organized, responsible, ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Depending on business needs, travel to overseas factories.
- Ability to travel 10%
