What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Manager - Payment Processing position at MidFirst Bank - Default?
Midland Mortgage, a division of MidFirst Bank, is seeking an experienced professional to assist in managing the daily operations within the Payment Processing department. This includes ensuring that all tasks related to payment/payoff processing are maintained and current at all times, as well as providing leadership and development to team members and assisting with reporting and special projects, as needed.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Manage daily operations to ensure payments are posted timely and accurately
- Resolve escalated loans and other operational issues to ensure payments are posted according to Midland guidelines
- Monitor employee’s productivity, quality and service level metrics and provide coaching as needed
- Mentor employees to improve soft skills and provide guidance for career development
- Monitor regulatory requirements and ensure the department is resolving all regulatory issues timely
- Assist with writing, implementing and monitoring internal policies and procedures
- Research and identify ways to improve processes and enhance customer relationships
Position requirements:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years’ management experience, OR in lieu of a degree, commensurate work history of 5-7 years of experience in an operational, financial services, mortgage servicing or corporate environment will be considered. Work history must include demonstrated success managing/leading a team, to include performance, productivity, engagement and a process improvement background.
