The successful candidate will learn to manage a large portfolio of loans and apply general underwriting responsibilities, portfolio maintenance, client relationship development, and business development. This position is considered an entry into Private Banking and is responsible for processing a loan, start to finish, by managing and organizing the loan process for multiple clients/sales representatives at a time.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Direct interaction with the sales team as well as internally referred clients throughout the Private Banking loan process.
- Interfaces with other Bank units as necessary to complete the loan process. Defines responsibilities and coordinates objectives related to Private Bank lending for all products in a relationship or transaction. Resolves all client needs and internal issues.
- Coordinate, compile, process, and review real estate loan transactions.
- Ensure loan documents are complete and accurate and are in keeping with the terms and conditions approved by the appropriate authority.
- Assist with underwriting of loan proposals and financial analysis of transactions and borrowers. Develops loan write-ups with a focus on identifying and mitigating credit risks in compliance with Bank's policies.
- Maintains an awareness of competitive products, practices, rates and changes in the market area.
Position Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree required, Undergraduate Finance related degree preferred;
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills;
- PC fluent (Word, Excel, Access, etc.);
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Good project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at once.
- Exhibit good listening and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers and Bank employees in person, over the phone and via email.
Salary Range: $28.00 - 33.00 per hour. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
