What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Financial Analyst-Funds Transfer Pricing position at MidFirst Bank - Default?
The successful candidate will be involved in the following tasks:
- Maintain and manage the pricing model for commercial and private banking loans.
- Gain an understanding of loan cash flows and all of the assumptions required for pricing different loan types.
- Update the pricing model as needed. This may include incorporating new loan types, new regulatory requirements and any other senior management requests.
- Gain an understanding of option cost on loans and the corresponding prepayment assumptions for loans.
- Maintain and update databases for option cost, prepayment rates, organizational hierarchy, loan officers, funding curves and deposit rates.
- Support model users with “how to use” questions. Troubleshoot problems that model users encounter.
- Provide custom modeling for unique transactions.
- Manage the loan rate lock process.
- Manage the monthly funds transfer pricing (“FTP”) process for line of business financial reporting
- Gain an understanding of the components that comprise the bank’s FTP process.
- Verify prepayment protection terms on new production and maintain a related database.
- Update the liquidity component of FTP.
- Update and maintain a database for callable CDs.
- Validate FTP results with independent calculations.
- Prepare payoff calculations for prepayments.
- Manage the annual third-party deposit study.
- Gain an understanding of the components that comprise the bank’s FTP process.
Position Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or Economics with a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or greater.
- Must have knowledge of financial concepts, including a thorough understanding of financial statements.
- An understanding of funds transfer pricing and interest rates are a plus.
- Desire to learn or have existing technical skills to work with databases and applications.
- Must have excellent analytical, logical, and math skills.
- Requires strong oral and written communication skills.
- Candidates must be creative and have an ability to work independently.
