Position Description:
This position will partner with the Commercial Card Product Manager for ongoing management of the Business and Commercial Card products and Automated Payables programs. Responsible for continued development and growth of the products to be best in class and to increase sales, usage, and overall performance to maximize profitability and meet strategic business objectives. The position interfaces with various internal departments to manage all aspects of product delivery including Treasury Management (TM) Sales, Business/Commercial Relationship Management teams, Commercial Services, Marketing and Credit Card Services.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage business and commercial card portfolio metrics to achieve revenue and profitability goals
- Coordinate with Credit Card Services to manage the Commercial and Business Credit Card rewards and rebate programs
- Support the Treasury Management Sales Officer (TMSO) team by participating in joint calls to large prospects and customers
- Attend recurring card-related meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and assess financial and operational risk, and develop solutions to minimize risk exposure for both the Bank and customers
- Coordinate with the Director of TM Sales to build and manage Commercial Card marketing, sales and usage strategies and incentives to achieve projected results
- Work with marketing and sales personnel to identify and provide the necessary collateral materials to support marketing efforts through all delivery channels including online and in person
- Work with the Credit Card Services Analyst on necessary reporting and analytics, including providing key metrics for recurring internal meetings
- Analyze portfolio performance for sales, interchange income and non-interest income and recommend performance improvement strategies
- Ensure all banking and card industry regulatory and compliance requirements of Business and Commercial Card services are met
- Maintain an in depth knowledge of the card issuing industry including market trends, new payment products and customer service initiatives
- Participate in strategic planning to provide product training and support as needed to achieve Bank needs and objectives
- Communicate product information, changes and enhancements across all customer contact areas within the Bank
- Interact with outside third-party vendors to coordinate quality product delivery to customers as needed
- Coordinate with TM Sales, Implementation and Credit Card Services for support during implementation and training phases
- Conduct vendor matches to identify potential Commercial Card spend
- Configure Expense Management programs according to specifications provided by client
- Provide support to TMSOs for eZCard/eZBusiness demonstrations
- Assist TMSOs, as needed, to complete Commercial Card pro-formas
- Monitor Business and Commercial Card program client spend, identifying trends and opportunities
- Coordinate with Credit Card Services to review the requirements and activities around processing online Business Credit Card applications
- Work with Credit Card Services, Accounts Payable and Human Resources to manage Bank’s internal Commercial Card employee program and periodically review employee usage for T&E spend to ensure the Bank maximizes participation
- Perform other job related duties and special projects as assigned
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or equivalent education and related training preferred
- Minimum one year experience related to Bank, Treasury Management Services or Business and/or Commercial Card products is required
- Certified Purchasing Card Professional (CPCP) certification preferred
- Advanced organizational, analytical and problem solving skills are required
- Product management and/or project management experience preferred
- Bank marketing and/or sales experience preferred
- Strong personal computing skills including strong knowledge of Microsoft Office required
- Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills required
- Detail oriented, ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and ability to work independently without supervision required
- Ability to travel as necessary to perform essential job responsibilities required
