The Research and Development Chemist II leads research programs and projects focused on developing innovative chemical formulations for cleaning, sanitization, and person care products. This role combines technical expertise with project leadership to drive product innovation and improvement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, include but are not limited to:
Research and Development
- Design and conduct complex experimental procedures for product development and optimization.
- Analyze data, interpret results, and recommend next steps for product development.
- Apply scientific knowledge of chemistry, material science, and formulation principles.
Technical Leadership
- Lead and manage research programs from conception to implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, and quality.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Project Management
- Drive multiple concurrent development projects.
- Maintain detailed documentation of experimental work and findings.
- Present technical results to internal stakeholders.
- Coordinate with external partners and vendors when needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Related Field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in formulation chemistry or related field.
- Proven track record in product development for cleaning, sanitization, or personal care products.
- Experience in experimental design and data analysis.
- Experience with analytical techniques and instrumentation.
- Excellence in written and verbal communication.
