Job Summary:
The Strength and Conditioning Coach to develop and implement a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for student-athletes. This individual will be responsible for enhancing athletic performance, reducing injury risks, and promoting overall physical wellness while maintaining a Christ-centered approach. The coach will work closely with athletic teams, coaches, and trainers to ensure student-athletes achieve their full potential in a manner that aligns with the mission and values of the school.
Lines of Authority:
Reports to the Athletic Directors as well Jayde De La Rosa.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Required (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).
Required Personal Qualities:
Reliable transportation.
Physical and Mental Effort:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk; use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, climb or balance, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

- Coaching and Development
- Design and implement strength, conditioning, and injury prevention programs for all athletic teams
- Conduct individual and group training sessions to improve strength, speed, agility, endurance, and flexibility
- Monitor and assess athlete progress and adjust training programs as needed
- Educate student-athletes on proper nutrition, recovery, and injury prevention strategies
- Collaborate with coaches and athletic trainers to support team-specific conditioning needs
- Promote a culture of discipline, accountability, and hard work among student-athletes
- Mentoring and Leadership
- Serve as a positive role model, promoting sportsmanship, integrity, and respect among players
- Encourage spiritual growth and character development through Christ-centered teachings
- Foster a supportive and inclusive team environment that aligns with the school's Christian values
- Program Management
- Maintain equipment and facilities in good condition, ensuring a safe and conducive environment for practices and matches
- Stay updated on best practices in sports performance and conditioning
- Ensure compliance with all school, district, and league regulations and policies
- Other duties may be assigned as needed
