Garfield, Midland, TX Job Summary The Executive Director of Digital Transformation plays a pivotal role in enhancing organizational efficiency, effectiveness, and engagement at Midland College through a holistic, strategic approach that merges people, technology, and process / knowledge to successfully shepherd the organization through transformative change. This role leads a team of technology experts who work to ensure initiatives move from ideas and plans to execution and impact.Required Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited universityA minimum of five years of professional experience in higher educationA strong background in multiple aspects of information technology, project management, and organizational developmentA proven deep technical understanding of managing large enterprise software such as an ERPStrong leadership, interpersonal communication, and motivational skillsExcellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skillsExperience supervising a cross-functional team of leaders pulling in the same direction to achieve organizational goalsProven ability to facilitate technical training in a way that is organized and engagingMust possess a valid Texas Driver's License, a good driving record, and be insurable on Midland College's insurance policy Preferred Qualifications Experience leading ERP operations within higher educationA holistic understanding of Information Technology that includes software, hardware, and system architecture Essential Functions Lead and develop the Digital Transformation organizational unit which includes our enterprise software teamEngage in collaborative comprehensive & strategic planning to ensure technology / process alignment and partner with the PMO to guide large-scale cross-organizational projects through to execution, ensuring they meet budget, scope, and timeline requirementsManage and mentor a team of professionals, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous development through integrating advanced technological solutions and innovative process management strategiesOptimize the use of the college's enterprise software and business applications by partnering with campus stakeholders to ensure these systems are being utilized to their fullest potential in supporting our students, employees, and communityServe as the primary leader for all software related implementations and upgradesPartner with other leaders within the division to ensure that the goals and work of the Digital Transformation unit are driven by data and aligned with the strategic goals and initiatives of the division and the collegeServe as a key advisor to the Vice President of Strategy & Analytics, providing expert guidance on matters related to Digital TransformationServe as a member of the president's cabinetOther duties as assigned Physical Demands Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the timeMust be able to sit or stand for long periods of timeThe person in this position needs to occasionally move or drive to other locations on and off campusThis position may require occasional travel for training, meetings, and events both in and out of townRepetitive use of a keyboard at a workstationUse of manual dexterityThe person in this position frequently communicates with others; must be able to exchange accurate informationSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus Frequently moves boxes or equipment weighing up to 50 poundsDuties indoors and some outdoorsOffice environmentAbility to work extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed Security Sensitivity All Midland College positions are security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information.
