Work Location- Main Campus-3600 N. Garfield, Midland, TX
Job Summary- The Maintenance Technician position should have a general knowledge of methods, materials, and procedures used in buildings and equipment maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- One year of verifiable experience in building maintenance
- Basic computer literacy, including the use of Windows system
- Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s license, good driving record, and be insurable on Midland College’s insurance policy
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
Essential Functions
- General maintenance duties
- Completion of work orders
- Repairs, electrical, changing of filters, motors, and belts on AC equipment
- Repair doors, locks, equipment, plumbing, painting, and replace light bulbs
- All other duties as assigned
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs
- Ability to operate motorized equipment
- Use of manual dexterity
- Indoor and outdoor work performed in all kinds of weather
- Weekend call approximately every 6th weekend
Security Sensitivity- All Midland College positions are security-sensitive and subject to Texas Education Code §51.215, which authorizes the employer to obtain criminal history record information. An employment offer is contingent on completion of a satisfactory criminal background investigation.
Min Salary- $23.45 per hour
Max Salary- $23.80 per hour
