CRIMINAL CHECKS CAN NOT BE RUN WITHOUT THIS FORM AND YOUR APPLICATION WILL BE CONSIDERED INCOMPLETE.Responsible for daily intake of Truancy, Juvenile, and Diversion case filings, data entry, setting court dockets, answering telephones, setting appointments, assisting Judge on court days. Provide liaison between the school district and court, operating GPS monitoring component. Assist truancy officers when needed; make personal visits to the schools. Help families in finding available community resources.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned: •Determining whether a juvenile is eligible for diversion•Presenting and maintaining diversion agreements•Maintaining records regarding whether one or more diversions were successful or unsuccessful •Reviewing all attendance filings submitted to the court for proper content and accuracy.• Data entry of Truancy, Juvenile, and Diversion case filings into the court’s computer system.•Preparing cases-to include, assigning case numbers and preparing paperwork for court. •Setting the Truancy and Juvenile court dockets, preparing and sending summons.•Assisting the Judge during court on Truancy, Juvenile, and show cause hearings.•Adding case notes in the computer system. •Reviewing court orders with defendants and their parents.•Monitoring juveniles for compliance and completion of court ordered sanctions. Monitoring will be at school, OPS systems, in the community, personal reporting by offenders and reporting back to the court on defendant's progress.•Coordinating with School Districts regarding access to school campuses and students. •Gathering attendance and behavior reports from the schools. •Follow up on cases-reviewing information and reports for compliance or non-compliance of court ordered sanctions and reporting back to the Court.•Completing cases that are in compliance-properly disposing of cases in computer system.•Completing cases that are in non-compliance-Updating case notes, issuing DL suspensions.•Regular and timely attendance is required•Cross-Training for civil and criminal clerk duties

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
KNOWLEDGE OFJuvenile justice system; Texas Family Code, juvenile law; all TJPC standards, and standard office practices and procedures.SKILL/ABILITY TOOperate computers; write reports, letters, and other documents using proper format and grammar. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with CO-workers, juveniles and their families, and the general public.REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS None.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Business hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with occasional evening and weekends.
