Job Description
Primarily responsible for the delivery of non-clinical care to all adult and or pediatric patients.Responsible for delivery of clinical care as delegated by licensed nurses and within the scope ofpractice. Responsible for promoting positive interactions with staff, physicians, patients, familiesand other visitors.
SCHEDULE AND HOURS
Fulltime 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS Follows expected workflows and processes set up for the delivery of non-clinical andclinical care. Demonstrates positive effective communication, including education with patients andfamilies, physicians and other healthcare team members, and professionalcommunications skills. Provide a safe environment for patients, families and co-workers, including handwashing,and adherence to infection control policies. Demonstrate professionalism including current AED’s and other competencies, followingdress code policies, participation in orientation of new team members.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Education and or experience: High School Diploma or GED preferred If working in the Total Joint Center: Required to complete eight (8) hours of hospitalprovided continuing education hours upon hire and annually. Education will focus onmanagement/care of total hip, knee and shoulder replacement as well as elective spinesurgery patients.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essentialresponsibility satisfactorily.
