JOB SUMMARY:
The ED Care Coordinator is responsible for effective communication with physicians, nurses, and all ancillary departments to ensure continuity of patient care and maintain efficient flow of the department.
SHIFT & SCHEDULE:
FT / 7:00 pm- 7:00 am
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:
- Answer multiple phone lines while exhibiting professional phone etiquette.
- Ability to multi-task utilizing multiple computer software applications
- Assist with plan of care coordination to include obtaining patient information, completing documents, and documentation to ensure timely throughout.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior medical background experience preferred.
- AHA Heartsavers CPR certification required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily.
