Community hospital part of a system looking to bring on Nurse Director Med/Surg!
The Director of the Medical Surgical Department directs and manages the operations and activities of the Medical Surgical Department and Contract Services provided in the Department. Responsible for the overall management of the department’s daily operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals and objectives. Oversee a team of 60 FTE's
MUST HAVE CURRENT MED SURG DIRECTOR EXPERIENCE or STRONG MANAGERIAL MED SURG IN AN ACUTE CARE SETTING 5 YRS OR MORE.
- Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited School of Nursing
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Current Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
