RESPONSIBILITES AND AUTHORITIES:
- Perform all duties in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Conduct oneself in such a manner that is conducive with a professional office environment
- Dress in such a manner that is conducive with a professional office environment
- Maintain neat and well-ordered work environment
- Assist in the care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
- Accommodates the various changes in workload by maintaining a flexible personal schedule
- Performs other duties as assigned
- This will be a hybrid position that includes working within the allergy practice as well as providing support for the ENT providers and front desk
- Maintaining BLS is required
- On the job training will be provided for emergency procedures for the allergy practice.
- triage and assessment of patients
- Administering allergy shots
- Measuring skin reactions
- Mixing of allergy serum
- Responsible for monitoring inventory levels. Ensure that the inventory is ordered and received as required by policy
- Responsible for educating patients on all allergy injections and treatment processes and protocols
- preparation of patients for examination and testing
- pertinent professional documentation of patient communications and circumstances
- administration of medications, treatments, or testing as directed by physician
- usage of communications skills—verbal, written, telephone, and/or computer
- informing and/or advising patients of results, doctor’s advice or required treatment/appointment
- responding to patients needs for education, doctor referrals, refill of medications
- relationship with fellow workers and superiors
- continual assessment of the office environment relating to patients and co-workers
- organization, cleanliness, privacy, security and safety
- management of medical supplies, instruments, and equipment-- including proper storage, cleaning and monitoring requirements for operation.

Qualifications
Education:
- Texas credentialing certificate in Medical Office Assisting preferred but not required.
- Possess the practical and technical knowledge required for his/her job
- One to two years office experience preferred but not required.
- Extended periods of standing
- Extensive data entry
- Ability to work under stress
