Duties and Responsibilities for Server:
1. Responsible for seating guests in restaurant.
2. Explains menu items and specialties to guests.
3. Takes guest orders and turns them into kitchen.
4. Provides guests with drinks and refills as needed.
5. Works with kitchen to make sure guest orders are prepared in a timely manner and in accordance with the guests’ wishes.
6. Serves food to guests promptly to ensure proper temperature in accordance with established procedures.
7. Checks with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and beverage service.
8. Promptly and courteously replaces or corrects any items guest deems unsatisfactory in order to maintain guest satisfaction.
9. Uses suggestive selling techniques by suggestion coffee, desserts, or appetizers when an order is placed or after completion of their meal.
10. Ensures that dishes are cleared from tables as guests are through with each meal.
11. Totals and presents guest with check promptly at conclusion of the meal.
12. Thanks guests and invites them to return again soon.
13. Performs any other duties necessary to enhance the guests’ dining experience.
14. Always accept and complete side work assigned to the satisfaction of the Food & Beverage Manager.
15. Familiar with any abbreviation of items on menu.
16. Assists other co-workers when needed.
Duties and Responsibilities for Bartender:
Responsible for providing all lounge patrons and servers with fast, friendly beverage service in accordance with established company policy.
1. Properly mix and pour drinks for customers.
2. Ring up all checks.
3. Collect all guest checks.
4. Verify all guest room charges.
5. Follows prescribed formulas with all types of mixed drinks specified by management.
6. Maintains cleanliness of bar to exceed all health regulations.
7. Sees that all liquor is poured properly.
8. Requisitions liquor and supplies in order to ensure adequate inventories.
9. Never leaves bar unattended.
10. Prepares deposit report nightly and ensures that it is balanced.
11. Performs other duties as requested by the Food and Beverage Director.
Works closely with servers and other food & beverage personnel to provide fast, friendly and efficient beverage service to guests.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1. Must TABC certified.
2. Must have minimum one (1) year’s bartender experience.
3. Must have excellent communication skills.
4. Must be able to learn basic paperwork quickly and to accurately complete required paperwork.
5. Be thoroughly familiar with all types of drinks.
6. Must have a friendly, courteous, and outgoing personality.
7. Must have high school diploma or its equivalent.
Job Type: Part-time
