Groundskeeping Crew – Let’s Grow Together!

Do you enjoy working outdoors and take pride in a well-maintained space?
We're looking for enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our summer groundskeeping crew! This temporary, seasonal position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, contribute to a beautiful property, and gain valuable experience.
Responsibilities:
- Mowing lawns, edging walkways, and trimming hedges
- Maintaining flower beds, weeding, and edging
- Sweeping sidewalks and parking lots
- Removing trash and debris from the property
- Assisting with other seasonal tasks as needed
Skilled Trade Shadow Program – Build Your Future, One Skill at a Time!
5 Positions Available - 1 for each trade; Electrician, Plumber, HVAC, Carpenter, Painter
Calling all curious and hands-on learners!
Are you interested in a career in the skilled trades but unsure where to start? This summer, we're offering a unique opportunity to shadow a skilled tradesperson and gain valuable firsthand experience in a dynamic field.
What You'll Do:
- Spend the summer working alongside experienced tradesmen like electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and more (depending on program availability).
- Observe daily routines, safety protocols, and the application of technical skills on real-world projects.
- Assist with tasks as appropriate, gaining practical experience in a safe and supervised environment.
- Learn about career paths, training requirements, and the day-to-day life of a skilled tradesperson.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Applicant must complete a pre-employment physical and back assessment.
Applicants who are receiving their high school diploma this year or are entering their senior year in the fall may be considered.
These positions will involve working at all building sites throughout the District. All applicants should be able to demonstrate an excellent work record, including good attendance, cooperative spirit, willingness to undertake and complete tasks assigned, and ability to work well with all school employees.
Start Date: May 1, 2025 or Later
Rate of Pay: $12.67/hr.; potential raise after July 1, 2025
