The Director intentionally fosters a cause-centered culture that welcomes all participants in a nurturing environment through staff development, program innovation & fiscal responsibility.
Position ensures compliance with all Texas Health and Human Services Commission (TXHHSC) standards, applicable laws and regulations and local and national YMCA standards. This position ensures the safety and well being of all children through staff training and evaluation, curriculum development and monitoring, parent involvement and outcome measurement evaluation surveys.
Qualifications:
All staff must follow YMCA requirements & Texas childcare licensing requirements:
· At least 18 years of age; Site Director at least 21 years of age
· High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
· Must pass Texas DFPS fingerprint background check
· Must pass drug test; subject to random drug screens
· CPR/Basic First Aid certified
· Complete 8 hours of pre-service training including child abuse prevention training, curriculum & age-appropriate activities, positive guidance, conscious discipline, etc.
· Maintain 24 hours of annual childcare training (provided by YMCA); Site Directors receive 30 hours of training annually
Essential Functions
1.Ensures compliance with all applicable TXHHSC standards, laws and internal policies and procedures at all times.
2.Conducts quality assurance and ensures conformity with Texas Minimum Standards for Child Care Centers.
3.Coordinates and ensures purchase of snacks and supply orders for program.
4.Provides direct supervision of children and associated staff at site.
5.Maintains current CPR/First Aid certification and other YMCA and licensing certifications as needed.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
