Medical Billing and Coding In-Office Position.
Medical Billing and Coding. The ideal candidate will be responsible for all aspects of billing including accounts receivables, managing claims from the time of claim submission to payment posting, etc.
Qualifications :
Certified Coder
Medical Billing Certification.
3 years of previous medical collections experience with general insurance billing practice knowledge required.
Must have 3-4 years of experience in CPT & ICD-9 / 10 Coding.
Billing-related background in a physician clinic setting preferred with experience in working on accounts receivable.
Attention to detail, consistent, productive, able to meet deadlines.
Position requires you to work in the office. This is Not a Remote position.
Responsibilities :
Assigns appropriate ICD and CPT codes for reimbursement and statistical purposes
Follows ICD, CPT, CMS, and other regulatory coding guidelines
Abstracts clinical information from medical records for complete and accurate statistical documentation
Researches and stays current with trends in healthcare coding and compliance
Responsible for assisting with coding claim edits and reviewing claim denials for correction
Reports to work in a timely manner and adheres to attendance policies
