Job Responsibilities
Ability to supervise accounting faculty, coordinate student activities and establish good working relations with alumni, businesses, students, media, faculty and others in college community. Knowledge of academic management, effective principles of curriculum / program development and assessment, positive interpersonal skills, effective and correct oral and written communication skills, and faculty evaluation techniques. Knowledge in the following areas : Principles and procedures pertaining to higher education, especially teaching methodologies, standard business practices and accepted protocol for areas of responsibility; and college mission, goals and objectives. Reports to the Department Chair for the School of Business, who provides instruction and guidance in the assigned job responsibilities. Additional guidelines are provided in the MTC Policies and Procedures Manual, the Faculty Manual and the Student Handbook.

This position is located on the Beltline and Airport campuses in the School of Business - Accounting.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Doctorate or Master's Degree in Accounting or in related field with 18 graduate hours in Accounting. Minimum of two year's work experience in the field of Accounting. Two years teaching experience at the community college level.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidate will have experience with administrative leadership in higher education, curriculum design and pedagogy.
