Job Responsibilities
Supervises the Accounts Payable Department to include scheduling, evaluation of workflow during normal daily activities as well as during audit and training as requested. Responsible for the maintenance, preparation and analysis of management level reports to include state, federal and local information and spreadsheets involving financial transactions for the disbursement of funds, travel information and general ledger transactions. Responsible for collection and audit of financial data as it relates to imports to the Ellucian Colleague system involving procurement card charges, Executive Council credit card charges and petty cash charges. Follow up on any discrepancies concerning imports with appropriate college personnel. Implements the batching of financial data input in the Ellucian Colleague system to include interfacing with BankMobile and Paymerang vendors. Gathers, compiles and analyzes data related to reconciling current bank balances. Prepares and follows up on stop payments. Audits petty cash requests. Prepares necessary journal entries relating to petty cash charges. Interprets policies and procedures and develops new forms as they relate to the Accounts Payable Department. Works with college vendors and college departments concerning processes. issues, and information as they relate to the Accounts Payable Department. Serves as backup for the setup of general ledger account number setup. Other duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree with 15 semester hours in accounting related courses; or an Associate’s Degree with accounting related courses and two years accounting experience; or a high school diploma and four years of accounting experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to interpret and apply financial procedures, data, and regulations. Strong analytical skills to assess financial records, along with the ability to supervise subordinates effectively. Excellent communication skills, with the independence to exercise judgement and discretion in applying departmental policies and procedures. The ideal employee will possess strong time management and organizational skills, be dependable, and demonstrate initiative as a self-starter.
Salary : $38,985 - $59,843
