Midlands Testing Services, Inc. and MSA Inc. are in a unique industry. Through our advanced software we help several airlines and railroads keep their workforce alcohol and drug free in accordance with the Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
We assist our clients in all aspects of managing this mandatory testing process for those working in safety sensitive positions. Everything from scheduling the testing to assisting clients with questions or issues.
We are headquartered here in Omaha, but you will be working with clients, managers, and sub-contractors in our network from across the country.

Our office is located near Lakeside Hospital at 168th & Center Street and has a walking path to a lake directly, behind our building. The building has been newly remodeled and has free drink and snack station for employees, and even extra wide parking stalls.

Essential Functions/Competencies
- Building relationships with clients, sub-contractors and other employees based on trust and reliability.
- Learning the DOT regulations to applying that knowledge in interactions with clients and sub-contractors.
- Taking part in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of client and company protocols as well as the Department of Transportation regulations.
- Respond to issues that arise with sub-contractors or clients, and document the steps taken in the resolution.
- Use our software to communicate testing details and scheduling information to collectors and clients.
- Basic Computer skills. Basic knowledge of copy machines, scanners and phones.
- Utilizing software, databases, scripts, client protocols and tools accurately and efficiently.
- Reviewing documentation for errors and accurately entering data into databases in an efficient manner when needed.
- Answering or making calls to clients and subcontractors to gather or convey testing information.
- Engaging in active listening with callers, confirming or clarifying information.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Commitment to maintaining and developing the necessary interpersonal skills to meet the needs of Midlands, our clients and business partners.
- Must be able to perform multiple duties and transition quickly between them depending on the needs of our clients.
- Requires learning multiple basic programs such as Microsoft word, excel and outlook. Plus, our inhouse software we use to manage the work we do.
- Must possess a strong attention to detail.
- Must be able to ask for help as may be needed.
Physical
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time.
- Must be able to enter data into a computer 70% of the time.
- Operate and manage a multi-line telephone console system.
- Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery.
