See below for a brief job description:
Mobile Drug and Alcohol Tester
Looking for either a certified DOT trained tester OR someone willing to be trained for DOT drug/alcohol testing. If you are not already DOT certified, we will provide the necessary training. Equipment/supplies will be provided as well if necessary. We conduct Federally mandated testing for those working in safety sensitive positions. To do this, we go onsite to their locations to administer the alcohol test and urine collection; package the specimen and ship it to a laboratory for testing.
We provide this service to the majority of railroad companies nationwide along with a few airlines as well. A manager is at each location to bring you the donors for testing. The service area covers about a 75 mile radius.
This position pays per job and increases with the amount of time you are onsite testing and the number of donors you test on each trip. All mileage is paid at the current IRS rate and an additional bonus is paid for longer distances. This would be considered a part-time position. (1099 sub-contractor)
Railroads and airlines operate 24-hours a day, so jobs can occur anytime day or night. However, the majority of jobs are scheduled and occur in the early morning around 7:00 AM Monday – Friday. Each month you will have a few evenings, overnight and weekend tests for 2nd and 3rd shift donors. Having open availably to accept emergency call outs is a must. Again, each month, a few events will happen with very little notice, having a generally open schedule is important.
The best fit for this position is someone:
-Semi-retired, retired, or has a generally flexible schedule.
-The ability to accept work on demand for emergency call outs. (However, most tests are scheduled several days in advance)
-Willing to complete the required training. This will include reading the regulations and meeting for in person instructions/training/certification.
-Good communication skills to work with our office as a team.
-Ability to follow directions.
-Must be detailed oriented.
-You must care about the work you will perform and present yourself in a professional manner.
-Reliable vehicle
-Smart phone to utilize our software.
-Looking to fill this position ASAP.
Once again, the first step is asking you to complete the questionnaire on our website so we can find out more about yourself. Please click or copy/paste the link to our website to complete the questionnaire and to read more about what we do.
