Responsibilities
- 30%) Exhibit a thorough understanding of surgical procedures and the ability to effectively problem-solve related to those procedures. Verify items on the pick lists and ensure that all supplies accounted for are correctly billed to patients.
- 30%) Demonstrate proficiency in the proper use and assembly of equipment and disposables, while also adhering to the standards of cleaning and sterilizing. Ensure that all equipment and instruments are prepared correctly for each surgical procedure.
- 30%) Maintain a sterile environment by vigilantly monitoring the sterile field and promptly recognizing any breaches in technique.
- 10%) Set up the sterile field with instruments efficiently and keep a precise account of all medications, sponges, instruments, and sharps, following established policies.
