Personal In-Home Caregiver Mat-su Valley

Midnight Sun Home care is the premier home care company based in Anchorage, Alaska, providing the highest quality in-home non-medical assistance to seniors. We are actively recruiting for caring, compassionate, dependable, and professional individuals, from the Mat-su Valley area, that are interested in helping the elderly, vulnerable, as well as disabled adults and their families have better, more productive lives. Our caregivers do a variety of daily tasks that help people remain safely independent in their own homes for as long as possible.

I'm looking to find 2-3 'tier above' candidates to grow with our company, and be the foundational pillars of our continued growth. I'm actively looking for someone to invest in, who will invest in our elders. You must have your own transportation.

Become a certified PCA in one year. This is a career path for your future. You give back to Alaska seniors, and we give back to you. We are recruiting for all shifts in the Valley area. You must be ready and able to start work ASAP. We have daytime shifts available that range from 2 hours - 8 hours based on your availability.

All other details will be discussed during your interview and/or orientation.

We prefer a minimum of 6-months experience providing care to an aging or disabled person. This can be with an elder family member. Certified Caregiving Professional training is provided to all Midnight Sun Home Care staff.

Understand the limitations and needs of each individual client. Providing basic domestic services such as: meal prep, laundry, light housework etc. Provide companionship and engage in conversation with the clients. Run errands, either with or for the client, as needed (if approved in plan of care) Assist with mobility issues, wheelchair, walker, etc. Help with personal hygiene: brushing teeth, toileting, bathing etc. Provide a caring and positive environment for the client. Document/log client’s progress and overall wellbeing, for daily reports. *Tasks vary with each individual, sometimes they are according to their state approved plan.*

Must have own reliable transportation, be able to lift up to 50 lbs., obtain a Negative TB Test, pass a State of Alaska Background check, and must be able to read, have or obtain a CPR certification, write and speak English at an average adult level.

Pay is determined on experience.
