Technical Support Representative
MidNite Solar is an innovative design and manufacturing company that is seeking a new member to join our well-respected, industry-leading, Technical Support department. This individual will assist current and potential MidNite customers in solar system design, troubleshooting, programming, warranty services, and general product questions, as well as low level sales calls from time to time. This is a full time, Monday through Friday position, supporting the west coast time zone.
Responsibilities:
- Provides positive communication interface with customers including answering customer inquiries.
- Provides customers with over-the-phone support for operational, technical and repair information.
- Operate computer programs necessary to enter customer contact information, generate Return/Repair Authorizations and lookup necessary part numbers for customers.
- Assist customers in troubleshooting installation, setup, and operational issues with their solar system.
- Assist other representatives as needed or requested.
- Maintains good communication with management, office staff members and outside contacts.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Solar system (battery-based or grid-tied) installation, programming, troubleshooting
- Electronics or AC/DC electrical
- Basic computer skills, such as familiarity with Windows 10
- Courteous telephonic skills
- Flexible, enjoys doing work that requires frequent shifts in direction
- Customer service and Sales skills
- Independent, drives work forward with little direction
- Positive, problem-solving attitude
