Headquartered in Baltimore, Maryland, MidPoint Technology Group, LLC is a technology design & integration company servicing national clients. MidPoint Technology Group, LLC was founded in 2014 as a technology services company providing solutions in the audio visual, data center, electronic security, managed IT, and structured cabling markets. We are currently seeking an audio visual technician-2 to join our growing audio visual division to work with our technical staff and installation staff.

Working in concert with our foreman and lead technicians, the audio visual technician-2 will have overall responsibility for supporting the technical team with their daily tasks. An audio visual technician-2 is an intermediate technical position within the audio visual department, this position is great for candidates with 2-plus years of experience in the electronics and audio visual industry.

Role Requirements:

· 2-years (plus) experience integrating large scale audio visual systems

· General mechanical skills

· Ability to follow directions

· Ability to lift 75lbs

· Cable installation

· Cable termination

· Device installation

· Troubleshooting skills

· General computer skills

· General network skills

· Organizational skills

· Ability to read & understand cabling pull schedules, floor plans, ceiling plans, riser diagrams & line diagrams

· Knowledge of signal flow, audio visual signal types, connector types & terminations

· Knowledge/experience with control/automation system: Crestron, AMX, and Extron

· Knowledge/experience with audio DSP’s: QSC, Biamp, Clearone, Symetrix

· Knowledge/experience with digital multi-meters & impedance meters

· Knowledge/experience with digital video/audio transmission and protocols

Additional Skills:

· Electronics knowledge is a plus

· Other trade experience is a plus: Electronic security, fire alarm, structured cabling, electrical, etc.

· Technical college certificates or degree is a plus

· Industry certifications are a plus: Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Clearone, LifeSize, Polycom, Cisco, Infocomm, Etc.

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
