MidSouth Bank has an immediate opening for a knowledgeable and experienced Customer Service Representative (CSR) in our Pensacola office. A CSR is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by handling inquiries, processing transactions, opening accounts, resolving issues, and promoting banking products, all while ensuring accuracy and compliance with bank policies, to maintain positive customer relationships and foster retention A successful candidate should offer approximately 2 years of banking experience, preferably with experience in opening new accounts and processing teller transactions and should possess an understanding of banking terms as well as strong interpersonal skills to effectively assist customers and other bank employees. Duties include processing new account transactions, maintaining and servicing customer accounts and requests, providing teller support for branch staff, and promoting and cross-selling all products and services with a broad knowledge of bank offerings. Primary goals for this role include the following:
· Greeting customers in person or over the phone, answering questions about accounts, products, and services, addressing concerns, and providing solutions in a professional, timely manner.
· Assisting customers with opening new accounts, updating personal information, and managing existing accounts and products.
· Processing various transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and check cashing while adhering to compliance regulations.
· Identifying customer needs and proactively promoting banking products and services like credit cards, business services, and consumer loans.
· Investigating and resolving customer complaints, account discrepancies, and issues related to banking services.
