Midsouth Inc., an Underground Utility and Sitework contractor has an immediate opening for a Class A Wide Load Truck Driver - with the ability to operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and tankers.
Responsibilities:
Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques.
Ability to operate heavy equipment
Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the road.
Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working order.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents or accidents that occur.
Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding vehicle maintenance and cleanliness.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Physical Requirements:
Job requires lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending and reaching, climbing. Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, working outdoors in the environment can be exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. Ability lifting over 50lbs is a job requirement must not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights.
Requirements:
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements for the type of truck being operated.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a truck driver.
Must be at least 21 years of age
Oversized load experience
Must pass the mandatory CDL Clearinghouse process
Knowledgeable with DOT regulations
Map reading and navigation skills
Safe driver in adverse conditions
Positive and good work ethics
