What are the responsibilities and job description for the Service Porter position at Midstate Ford?
Midstate Ford is seeking a dedicated individual for Service Porter to support and assist both the Service Department and Parts Department.
Service Department Tasks:
-Shuttle customers when needed.
-Obtain and stage courtesy transportation vehicles for advisors when needed.
-Continually check customer seating, coffee, TV, etc. in lounge. (are customers comfortable?)
-Keep seat and floor covers stocked at the advisor station.
-Clear snow, debris, and treat sidewalks when needed.
-Assist customers with clearing snow from vehicles at “pick up” time.
-Empty sidewalk trash cans daily.
-Help answer phones when needed.
-Alternate lunch schedule with advisors.
-Train to point of “covering positions” at front desk during Service Dept. absences.
Parts Department Tasks:
-Put up and receipt in part shipments daily. (If needed)
-Perform 2 shelves of physical inventory continuously.
-Make parts runs to obtain parts. (When needed)
-Assist with semiannual or annual physical inventories.
-Purge old warranty parts. (If needed)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $12.00 per hour
