We work at Midtown to inspire people to transform their lives. Our Financial Systems Analyst does so by supporting the evolution, design, and optimization of our EPM and ERP systems.
In this role, you will support the development of new Adaptive Planning models, dashboards, and financial and personnel reports. You will also be responsible for maximizing the day-to-day functionality of Midtown's ERP, Workday, by assisting with the development and maintenance of the system while also collaborating cross-functionally with department and business leaders. We are seeking an individual with financial planning systems experience, preferably with Adaptive Planning.
To be successful in this role, you need the ability to think systematically across multiple systems and business processes, understand both the big picture and small details of our financial systems, work collaboratively to define business objectives and strategy-then translate that strategy into best practices. You will report directly to the Director of Financial Systems, and work closely with the FP&A, Accounting, Accounts Payable, and Procurement functions within the Finance department, and with our Information Systems and People Experience teams. The team is based in our HQ office in Chicago (3611 N Kedzie Ave.) and supports all club locations.
- The role is hybrid work-from-home and required to also come in the office in Chicago
- The position is based in the Chicago area and will involve very limited travel to Midtown club locations during annual budget time (usually in the fall)
Responsibilities
Maintenance of Workday and Adaptive Planning, including setup and configurationBuild, support and manage Adaptive Planning modelsBuild and maintain Workday reportsProvide application support for functional usersPrepare and validate monthly management and executive financial and operational reportingMonitor integrations to and from Workday and Adaptive, resolving issues as they ariseManage data flow between Workday and Adaptive, including validationConfigure business processes within our financial systems to optimize effective workflows and system usageCoordinate systems upgrades and testing and work in a team environment to develop and maintain applicationsAssist with rolling finance forecast and annual budget process, including training end usersDocument and implement policies, procedures, guidelines, and best practices to ensure data integrity and standardized processesCollaborate with Workday, Adaptive Planning and other third-party software application engineers, along with internal Finance, PX, and IT resources, and communicate functional requirements to consultants to meet business objectivesIdentify and execute on opportunities for process automationOffer solutions to gain process efficiency and improve data integrityEnsure all third-party applications are pushing data efficiently to Workday and AdaptiveAssist with design and development of custom integrations across member management software, Adaptive Planning, and other third-party applications as neededEnsure that we are continually evaluating our systems against the finance, and company roadmap.Adapt technological solutions to business needs as they ariseWork with Club General Managers, Club Senior Leadership teams, and other cross-functional team members to provide feedback regarding what financial tools could help solve business needsPursue continuous learning and application of new concepts and technologies to the businessAssist with analysis and implementation of Workday's Illuminate AI solutionsQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems2 to 5 years' experience, inclusive of Workday Adaptive Planning or Workday FinancialsDemonstrated ability to utilize software tools (e.g., Workday, Adaptive Planning) to add value to end usersSelf-starter with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to forge relationships cross-functionally to foster open communication and ability to solve data needs proactively utilizing technologyAdaptive Planning certification preferred but not requiredOfficeConnect, and SQL experience a plusPay Disclosure
Compensation : $80k-$100K annually, based on experience and qualifications
