Job Title: Part-Time Deli/Meat Department Associate
Pay: $12 an hour
Hours: 15-25; Deli/Meat department is open 7 days a week from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Hours depending on what is needed each day to complete all the Deli/Meat department’s work. Opportunity for more hours during the Summer.
Job Requirements:
- Good work ethic
- Flexibility with hours, able to start earlier some days and start later others.
- Ability to work with others to complete department tasks.
- Ability to work with knives, deli slicer, and meat grinder.
Job Details;
- Serve customers at the meat and deli counters through the day
- Comfortable working with knives, deli slicer, and meat grinder or ability to become comfortable.
- Replenish the sliced meat and cheese case and the salad case throughout the day.
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize the deli slicers every four hours.
- Wash dishes from setting up deli cases and from other jobs throughout the day.
- Wash, rinse, and sanitize work tables, cutting boards, and work trays at the end of the work day.
- Sweep and mop the floors at the end of the day or as needed.
- Answer the phone, taking orders from customers and answering customers’ questions
- Set up the deli case by slicing and shaving deli meats and cheeses.
- Set up salad case for the day, rotating and replacing salads for the start of the day.
- Make fresh salads for the next day’s salad case or for use later in the day.
- Pull dated product from the deli self-service case.
- Stock and rotate daily shipments of products from suppliers.
- Work with the manager to complete all the above tasks.
- Work with the Manager to complete cleaning and sanitizing of department.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
