ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Inspects and repairs company’s medical and related technical equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
* Inspects and repairs medical equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications.
* Repairs, calibrates, and maintains equipment.
* Safety tests medical equipment and company’s structural environment to ensure patient and staff safety from electrical or mechanical hazards.
* Consults with staff to ascertain that equipment functions properly and safely.
* Assembles medical equipment per manufacturer’s specifications.
* Maintains adequate supply of repair parts.
* Demonstrates and explains correct operation of equipment to staff personnel.
* Documents the functional checks and repairs for company and patient/customer’s equipment.
* May have to assist Delivery Drivers in preparing, loading and unloading trucks/vans.
* May be required to make visits customer’s places of work to repair or service equipment.
* Maintains work area and tools in a clean and orderly manner.
* May attend professional schooling from equipment manufacturers on specific pieces of equipment.
* Participates in Improvement of Operational Performance (IOP) activities.
* Participates in traditional and e-learning programs.
* Other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
* Must have an Electronics or BioMed degree.
* Age 18 or older
* Must possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company standards
* Highly organized and ability to manage and prioritize tasks related to order procurement, delivery and customer retention
* Ability to self-manage and make sound business decisions
* Self-motivated with a desire to succeed
* Ability to work both independently and with others
* Willingness to travel when needed
* Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of Word Processing software
* Must be willing to work extended work weeks, including nights and weekends
* Demonstrates attention to detail
