We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Provide excellent animal care by monitoring vital signs and overall health of pets.
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and other medical procedures.
- Perform animal restraint techniques safely and effectively.
- Conduct laboratory tests including blood work, urinalysis, and fecal exams.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry practices and post-operative care.
- Assist with pet grooming as needed to ensure cleanliness and comfort.
- Stay updated on veterinary terminology, dental terminology, and animal anatomy knowledge.
Requirements
- Certification or degree in Veterinary Technology is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and husbandry practices.
- Familiarity with equine care is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform animal restraint safely and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with pet owners and team members.
- A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if necessary.
