The position of Service Technician Assistant performs light duty repairs, cleaning, and detailing of farm equipment and machinery.
Responsibilities:
- Pressure washing and detailing equipment
- Perform regular preventative maintenance or light repairs on machinery, including oil changes, cleaning, and part replacement.
- Prepares all forms (details of work performed on repair orders) required in conjunction with job assignments.
- Participates in all training programs as directed by the Service Manager
- Accounts for all time and for all materials used in performing work duties.
- Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
- Reports on any issues with shop tools, equipment or vehicles that are in a serviceable condition or are unsafe for use.
- Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Mechanic tool set appropriate for required work
- Able to operate vehicles and equipment used in service shops
- Ability to lift heavy 75 pounds as required without assistance.
- Ability to work extended hours as needed.
- Good interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and good organizational skills.
