Salvage Specialist Position
About This Role:
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in auto salvage, vehicle titling, or registration. Strong grammar, drafting ability, and file management skills are preferred. Key responsibilities include coordinating vehicle pickups with Copart, handling salvage title processing and documentation, tracking auction results, and maintaining clear communication with insureds and lienholders. The role requires the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle the total loss process from assignment through salvage disposal
- Coordinate with Copart and other salvage vendors for timely vehicle pickup and sale
- Secure titles, documents, and necessary paperwork for salvage processing
- Communicate with insureds, lienholders, and claimants regarding salvage status
- Track salvage proceeds and reconcile against expectations
- Input and manage salvage files within claims management systems
- Support the claims team by flagging salvage value opportunities and potential recovery issues
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in commercial auto/trucking insurance claims
- Strong understanding of total loss processing and salvage protocols
- Familiarity with Copart or similar salvage auction platforms
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and organization
- Ability to work independently and juggle multiple tasks under tight timelines
- Title handling or DMV processing knowledge is a plus
- Bilingual in Spanish is a bonus, but not required

Pay: $35,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
