Midway Mechanical is seeking a:
Assistant Regional Controller
to build a data-driven culture in the greater Portland area.

CORE ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Provide accounting and administrative support to business units, offering guidance on day-to-day activities
Ø Assist with mentoring and developing a team of accounting staff members
Ø Oversee and audit the revenue recognition process monthly, ensuring compliance with US GAAP
Ø Drive an accelerated close process across the business units, reviewing balance sheet activity and financial results
Ø Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including WIP reports, balance sheets, and P&L statements
Ø Analyze KPI’s. financial performance, variances to budget, and past periods, providing actionable recommendations
Ø Prepare monthly operation & finance reporting packages for each business unit
Ø Collaborate with business unit leaders to ensure accurate cost estimation and forecasting for ongoing projects
Ø Perform special financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
Ø Support cash flow forecasting efforts, manage cash disbursements and collections for the assigned business units
Ø Assist in the completion of the company’s annual financial audit and ensure timely reporting
Ø Regularly review and enforce internal controls, conducting periodic audits
Ø Oversee payroll submissions, ensuring compliance with payroll laws and Prevailing Wage requirements in Oregon and Washington
Ø Prepare business unit budgets and forecasts, collaborating with local management
Ø Identify opportunities for financial process improvements and efficiency gains, driving actionable change
Ø Perform additional duties as required to support the Regional Controller and business units
REQUIREMENTS
