The HR Business Partner is a key operational role within Midway Mechanical Services, responsible for supporting day-to-day human resources (HR) functions and ensuring HR processes align with the company’s culture and goals. This role plays a critical part in driving employee engagement, maintaining compliance, and fostering a positive workplace environment.

Responsibilities : HR Administration :

  • Manage day-to-day HR operations, including benefits administration, payroll processing, and HR systems management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely maintenance of employee records in compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes to create seamless transitions for new hires and exiting employees.
  • Support M&A and integration needs under the direction of leadership to facilitate a smooth integration transition.

Employee Relations :

  • Foster open and effective communication between employees and management.
  • Support the resolution of employee concerns and conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
  • Promote and uphold company policies and procedures to ensure a consistent and equitable workplace experience.
  • Training and Development Administration :

  • Coordinate and support employee training programs under the direction of leadership.
  • Assist in implementing leadership development initiatives, tracking participation, and setting up calendar invites.
  • Employee Engagement and Well-Being :

  • Assist in executing engagement initiatives that foster a supportive and inclusive workplace.
  • Support wellness programs to promote the physical and mental health of employees.
  • Legal Compliance and Risk Management :

  • Ensure HR practices across the platform comply with labor laws and regulations.
  • Manage HR-related risks and legal matters to protect the organization. Provide sound employee relations advice.
  • Qualifications :

    Education : Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred, but not required.

    Certifications : Relevant certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, CEBS, CPP, or any HR Certificate Programs are advantageous.

    Experience :

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in HR or related functions.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, policies, and employment law compliance.
  • Skills :

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
