Used Car Technician

Midway Motors in McPherson, KS is currently looking to add a Used Car Technician to our service team. This position would be responsible for performing thorough inspections and diagnostic tests on used vehicles to identify any issues or maintenance needs.

• Conduct repairs and maintenance tasks on various vehicle systems such as engines, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and accurately to meet quality standards
• Collaborate with the reconditioning team to provide insight on vehicle conditions and repair recommendations
• Keep detailed records of all services and repairs performed on vehicles
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in automotive technology to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment
• Strong mechanical and technical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Certification from a technical school or equivalent experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• ASE certification is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an auto technician
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
