What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Payroll Specialist position at Midway Products Brand?
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Payroll Supervisor, is responsible for preparing payroll in a multi-entity, multi-state environment, along with other confidential financial matters.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Prepare weekly & bi-weekly payrolls for multiple entities, in various states.
- Includes reconciling federal, state, & local tax payments, child support, garnishments, 401(k) payments, and the associated cash transfers.
- Maintain payroll spreadsheets/reports on a regular basis as required.
- Serve as a complete payroll backup for all company locations as required.
- Reconcile monthly bank statements.
- Type manual checks as required.
- Miscellaneous data entry, accounting assistance as needed.
- Including, but not limited to expense reporting database information entry.
- Performs secretarial/clerical/administrative work as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Corporate Controller/Payroll Supervisor.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Training and Experience: Preferred High school diploma or the equivalent.
- Minimum 2 Years payroll processing experience with payroll tax knowledge (multi-state environment preferred).
