POSITION SUMMARY
- Responsible for initiating, administering and maintaining the process for evaluation, control, monitoring and development of Midway Products Group, Inc. suppliers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Monitor and review supplier PPAPs (Production Part Approval Process).
- Coordinate interface with Midway plant and supplier personnel regarding supplier APQP activities and issues.
- Identify and provide developmental assistance to Midway suppliers, as practical.
- Monitor supplier’s ongoing quality performance.
- Develop and communicate annual supplier assessment schedules.
- Conduct assessments of production material suppliers.
- Summarize, analyze, and report supplier quality system and ongoing performance information to management, and make recommendations.
- Provide information for MOS charts, analysis charts, and develop action plans for supplier performance.
- Assist plants in resolving supplier issues when requested.
- Proactively research multi-plant supplier issues.
- Conduct Midway plant internal quality systems audits, as directed.
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Four-year college degree and ASQC Certification (CQE, CQA or CQM) preferred or four to six years experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
SPECIAL SKILLS
- Preferred 3 years experience in a decision making technical, professional or management position.
- Excellent computer, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
