Control Wiring Technician

Are you a skilled electrician with a passion for precision and quality? Join our dynamic team as a Control Wiring Technician, where you'll wire, assemble, and mount components for cutting-edge electrical control equipment. Your expertise will ensure our products meet the highest standards.

Location : Garland, TX

Schedule :

8-10 hour shift
1st Shift : 6 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM / 5 : 00 PM
Monday to Friday with OT available

Pay rate :

17-$22 / hour (DOE)

Full-time, Temp-to-Hire Position

Responsibilities :

Wiring Mastery : Bring control panels, switchgear, switchboards, and ATS to life with your wiring skills.

Blueprint Expert : Independently interpret wiring diagrams to complete assignments with confidence.

Tech Savvy : Wire advanced electronics like PLCs, ensuring seamless operation.

Assembly Guru : Piece together electrical switchboard equipment with precision.

Quality Champion : Follow instructions and drawings to inspect and test products, guaranteeing top-notch quality.

Team Player : Keep jobs on track, report issues, and support your peers, especially during high-demand periods.

Adaptable : Embrace new tasks and challenges as they arise, showcasing your flexibility and dedication.

Required Skills / Abilities :

Minimum 1 year of experience in electrical assembly OR manufacturing setting.

Experience in electrical equipment manufacturing and assembly (panelboards / switchboards preferred)

Experience wiring power meters and controls.

Experience using various tools, including, Manual / electric / pneumatic tools, template / fixtures, hand carts, measuring and testing equipment, storage / packaging materials and prescribed safety equipment.

Experience with reading wiring schematics and point to point diagrams.

Willing to work flexible hours.

Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and resourceful.

Must be able to interact and contribute to a team environment and ability to flex according to production demands.

Must be able to communicate effectively in all written and verbal formats (speech, writing, reading)

Ability to follow manufacturing drawings and instructions.

Keep yourself and teammates aware of health and safety practices and activities by actively observing fellow employees work practices and incorporating safety.

Actively participate in health and safety training and demonstrate competency based on training received.

Requirements :

Strong attention to detail and consistency

Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematics

Must provide a resume and complete an interview

Work Environment & Physical Responsibilities :

Duties are performed in a loud production setting subject to extreme temperatures. Some duties may be required to be performed outside. Comfortable with repetitive movement, kneeling, crouching, and stooping. Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Requires lifting up to 50 pounds while bending, twisting and / or standing.
