EPJ Operator
Location : Carol Stream, IL
Schedule : Mon-Fri 6am-2 : 30pm plus OT
Pay rate : $19
Duties :
Hand-select orders in warehouse environments with varying temperatures (dry, cooler, and freezer).
Operate Sysco Order Selection (SOS) units to create and place labels correctly on products.
Stack products on pallets using proper procedures, ensuring safety and accuracy (e.g., heavy-on-light stacking is avoided, labels face outward).
Operate electric pallet jacks or forklifts to transport products within the facility.
Stage pallets for loading in designated dock locations.
Comply with company sanitation requirements and AIB (American Institute of Baking) standards.
Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including pallet jacks, SOS units, and personal protective equipment.
Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and ensure safe operation of mechanical equipment.
Shrink-wrap products for loading.
Attend all mandatory company meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
At least 2 years of relevant warehouse or equipment operation experience.
Experience with Ride-on Electric Pallet Jacks (EPJ).
Order picking and packing skills.
Inventory management and receiving experience.
Proficiency with scanners.
Frequently lift products weighing 1-75 pounds
Regularly reach up to 72 inches.
Constantly bend and twist while operating a pallet jack and / or forklift and retrieving items from lower shelf areas.
