What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Supervisor position at Midway Staffing?
Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: Sunday - Thursday 8AM - 4PM.
Pay rate: $19
Duties:
- Produce small-scale production runs of menu items for in-market testing, including the processing, mixing, and assembly of recipes.
- Coordinate all production trials by managing inventory needs, ensuring raw materials quality, auditing ingredient and finished product weights, recording trial results, and compiling trial summaries for the wider team.
- Assist with new product launches by providing recipe training, supporting shelf life testing for new items, and auditing production during the first month. This includes monitoring ingredient and finished product weights, analyzing throughput, and optimizing the production line to alleviate bottlenecks.
- Support day-to-day problem-solving related to ingredient and finished product quality concerns. Collaborate with the Commercialization Team and R&D Chef to define acceptable specifications and determine what is within acceptable quality standards.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in production, quality control, or food manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to track multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and collaborate across departments.
