Do you have a passion for quality and a commitment to food safety? We’re seeking a meticulous QA Supervisor for our client in Phoenix, AZ!
Location : Phoenix, AZ!
Schedule : Monday - Friday - Saturdays as needed / 2 pm - 11 pm
Pay rate : $65k
Duties :
- Assist in the implementation of GMP and HACCP, Food Quality requirements.
- Assist in conducting Food Defense, Food Safety / cGMP orientation, HACCP and other programs for QA, production and warehouse personnel
- Assist in documenting, filing and updating QA procedures, quality records and other pertinent QA documents
- Assist in periodic GMP / HACCP audits and monitoring of sanitation and hygienic practices
- Assist in investigation and documentation of customer complaints and / or plant- related safety, quality issues or concerns
- Assist in pilot test runs for new products to be launched
- Communicate issues with QA Manager for all quality related issues encountered, QA personnel issues, product rejects (on hold) and damages; plant wastages; CAR summary; GMP concerns, etc.
- Assist in sampling and testing of incoming ingredients used for production, issue SCAR for vendor with defective products.
- Assist in conducting regular process audits to verify that the products meet the standard specifications as per Product Instruction sheets
- Responsible for collection test samples for microbiological of in-process / finished products, food contact surfaces and food handlers – and analyze results for corrective measures
- Conduct random product weight checks and recommend controls by assisting the QA manager in statistically identifying preventive and corrective actions
