What are the responsibilities and job description for the RV Technician/Airstream Technician. position at Midwest Airstream Service.?
We are a small family-owned restoration shop and late model Airstream service shop that values build quality over quantity. We are looking for someone to hire for the long term. MAS services most of the Midwest but has had restoration clients come from as far as South Carolina and California.
As an RV tech with Vintage Camper Restoration, you will be required to perform a wide array of RV related repairs on Airstream campers. Mostly vintage.
Base knowledge including some, or all, of the following is required:
· Plumbing (PVC/PEX).
· Electrical (110/12v).
· Rough carpentry.
- LP.
· Tire and rim.
· Metalworking.
· Basic tool skills are also required.
Your daily responsibilities will involve:
· Performing repairs.
· Assisting with moving campers.
· Keeping a clean workspace.
· Moving parts and equipment.
· Tracking/logging your labor hours on each project.
· Detailing projects.
· Cleaning the shop.
This career will involve working in some tight spaces (under campers, inside cabinets, etc.) and occasionally lifting things of awkward shapes and sizes, up to 50lbs on your own. You will also need to be comfortable working on a ladder.
We do not require a technician certification, but you must have experience working on RV's or other trailers in a professional setting.
Pay: $25/Hr
PTO for every major holiday (9 days/year at full time)
