Midwest Alarm Services is currently seeking a Kitchen Fire Hood Suppression Technician to join our Healthcare Division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the inspection, installation, maintenance, and repair of fire hood suppression systems to ensure the safety and protection of healthcare and other facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections of kitchen fire hood suppression systems in healthcare and other facilities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards
- Install new kitchen fire hood suppression systems according to manufacturer specifications and building codes.
- Perform routine maintenance on fire hood suppression systems, including testing, cleaning, and replacing components as needed.
- Troubleshoot issues with fire hood suppression systems, diagnose problems, and implement necessary repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and other relevant information.
- Provide recommendations to clients for improving fire safety measures and compliance with regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, building owners, and other team members.
- Stay up-to-date with fire safety codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Respond to emergency situations involving fire hood suppression systems and take appropriate action to mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Additional certifications or training in fire safety systems is REQUIRED.
- Knowledge of fire hood suppression systems, including installation, maintenance, and inspection procedures.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
- Effective communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and able to pass preemployment background and drug test
