What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pet Bather position at Midwest Animal Hospital?
Are you someone who has amazing attention to detail and loves providing a soothing experience for pets coming in for a spa day? Our grooming assistants provide love and care to our furry friends who are ready for their new look! They make sure the pets are fully bathed, dried, and with their fur perfectly brushed and blown out for the groomers to style them! If you are a person who loves to see the difference from the start of your work to the finished product and loves giving reassuring, gentle care to pets coming in for a wash, dry, and haircut experience that some furry friends are a little unsure of, this position is for you!
You will receive training on pet handling, restraint for grooming, and how best to make the pets feel comfortable during their spa experience. Your grooming team supports each other in making sure each pet has the optimal experience, and will help you learn along the way! This role is a great start if you are looking to experience the grooming or veterinary field for the first time, but is also a great way for grooming assistants with experience to learn how to work with animals with medical needs, pets that require sedation for their spa experience, and further knowledge from our groomers that have all been with us for at least 9 years. If you think this position sounds like a good fit for you, please apply and we will reach out to schedule an interview if we feel you would be a good fit for our team!
