What are the responsibilities and job description for the LOAN PROCESSOR position at Midwest Bank?
Responsible for providing support to loan officers by preparing and processing the documents associated with loan transactions, creating and maintaining loan accounts on the computer system, and maintaining documentation in loan files on imaging system. Provides service to bank loan customers by meeting their requests for information and documentation.
- Prepares all necessary documents associated with real estate, consumer, agricultural, and commercial loans using the loan preparation software and reviews those documents for accuracy prior to closing.
- Assists in the ordering of appraisals, title work, flood insurance, and any required documentation as needed.
- Builds and maintains loan accounts on the customer information software system.
- Scans loan files/documentation into loan imaging system.
- Maintains tickler systems to track required documentation.
- Performs consistent follow-up on all pending loan and tickler items.
- Constructs Customer Information Profiles (CIPs) for new customers.
- Prepares participation agreements, inputs and maintains participation loans on the customer information software system.
- Performs wire transfers as needed.
- Files and secures all required loan documentation in a timely manner ensuring proper lien perfection.
- Maintains and obtains collateral insurance documentation in a timely manner ensuring collateral is insured at all times.
- Answers questions regarding loans and loan payments.
- Performs related duties as assigned by the Operations Officer, Chief Operations Officer and/or loan officers.
- Responsible for protecting the privacy of sensitive business and customer information by following all confidentiality, security, and safeguarding customer information policies and control procedures.
- Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion
Education and/or Experience: Minimum one-year technical college education in clerical field, financial services, or related program preferred or equivalent education and experience to equal the above. Experience working in a banking environment desirable.
Critical Skills: High attention to detail. Strong clerical and computer skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
