Medical Coder

Nature of Duties:
Review medical records, ensure proper service indications, and perform accurate coding. Complete superbills and forward them to billing. Communicate coding issues to providers, team leaders, or Compliance Department.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• LPN, CPC, or coding experience preferred
• BLS preferred
• Basic computer and communication skills

Specific Duties:

1. Review medical records, code services with appropriate ICD-10 codes, and ensure proper documentation.
2. Assess service utilization and communicate issues with the Director of Coding/Practice Administrator.
3. Answer coding queries from staff and assist with education.
4. Ensure timely submission of charges and codes for billing.
5. Assist in correspondence and referral tracking, ensuring accurate clinical information.
6. Perform other duties as needed to support organizational goals.

Compensation: Pay starting at $27.00.
