Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic and complete breast ultrasounds, ensuring patient comfort, and providing accurate imaging results to assist in medical diagnoses. This role requires excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, mammography technicians, and healthcare professionals.
Duties
- Perform breast diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients to locate, evaluate and record critical function, pathology and anatomical data.
- Ensure patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and imaging results
- Collaborate with off-site Radiologists and other healthcare staff to present and discuss preliminary findings
- Work closely with Mammography technologist and Radiologist to ensure appropriate information and prior imaging
- Review prior images and reports before completing an exam.
- Utilize PACS, RIS, EMR and other systems related to imaging.
- Records test results in written form with comparisons to Radiology.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain equipment in accordance with established guidelines
Qualifications
- ARDMS registered sonographer.
- Advanced breast registry or eligible and will obtain within 6 months from date of hire.
- 2 years experience.
- Proficient in PACS and RIS systems.
- Proficient in breast sonography techniques with a solid understanding of medical imaging principles.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $43.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 35 per week
